Tableau Honored with “Business Product of the Year” Award
It's true what they say - it's an honor to be nominated and it's at least as nice to win. Tableau was honored as “business product of the year” in the 13th Annual Industry Achievement Awards (IAA) sponsored by the Washington Technology Industry Association or WTIA (formerly known as the WSA). This is our 2nd win in 3 years – and our 3rd consecutive year as a finalist.
Tableau Server was the featured winner – a product introduced in 2007 that helps our customers share their data discoveries across an organization easily and elegantly to people armed only with a web browser.

Cleveland Clinic Uses Fast Analytics to Solve Insurer Payment Problems
Cleveland Clinic takes pride in the high quality services it provides patients throughout the greater Ohio area. Like most medical service providers, they spend a lot of time interacting with insurers who pay claims. And like most medical service providers, they don’t always get their payments on time because of misfiled paperwork, incorrect entries, and missing documentation.

Before, we found out about issues because they appeared on our monthly report after the fact – which for an organization our size means significant costs and/or lost opportunities. Now, Tableau helps us find the issues before they blow up. It’s great to be in control of the trends – instead of them controlling us!”

Omega with Tableau Helps Law Firms Track Time and Resources More Effectively
Omega Legal Systems builds software solutions that help law firms manage their business. Despite lawyers’ reputation for reading long, detailed documents, Omega wanted to give their clients a more visual and rapid way to understand their data. To achieve this, Omega integrated Tableau Software with their legal practice management software suite (built on a Cache' database) – calling the new module powered by Tableau, Visual Xpress.
Users can now rapidly identify trends, make comparisons and focus on exceptions that might be affecting their firm’s overall performance. “With Visual Xpress, our clients are able to use Tableau capabilities to visually analyze their Omega Legal data and uncover the ‘whys’ behind the data,” said Don Gall, President of Omega. “The ability to visually drill-down into their data through the dynamic charts and views will impact strategic planning in all aspects of their businesses.”
